Still on the grind bringing the documentary to life...recently got footage of Derek Blanks doing a photo shoot with Vivica Fox! We've really capture some great stuff on Derek Blanks. Got more people lined up to do soon...busy scheduling and shooting.

I've encountered a couple of obstacles during this filmmaking journey. But I've figured out ways to get around them and to keep on going. I'm determined. I'm on the pursuit of achieving those goals and those dreams. Big accomplishments in 2010 people. Keep your eye on dapa Entertainment! We've been running aound getting Excellent stuff for the documentary. Recently, I've been on the set of the movie "STOMP THE YARD 2" in Atlanta getting footage of the director Rob Hardy. It's going to be powerful a powerful project.

"I Am A Dream Chaser" documentary is finally listed on IMDB (Internet Movie Database). Check it out http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1540122/ They still need to update the info though. It's missing a couple names on the credits. It always feels official when your project is listed on IMDB. We're really making this happen. This is not a game people!

NEW INFO on Documentary

Variety.com listed " I Am A Dream Chaser" as an official film currently in production in Atlanta on the their Film Production Chart section. That helps to further promote what we are doing. I have already had a couple people contact me inquring about the film becasue of the Variety listing...good stuff. We should have info posted on IMDB (Internet Movie Database) soon. Trying to spread the news. Everything helps when you're on the independent level

Derek Blanks was on the MoNique show last night. He's a celebrity photographer that we are featuring in the documentary. Derek has been getting a lot of exposure lately. He's doing his thing. Proud of him. To get a real inside look on Derek, check the out the doc!

Horror Film

The documentary is coming together well. I have several great interviews lined up that we're knocking out. But taking a break from doc news... Since it's close to Halloween, I wanted to post this trailer for the movie "Paranormal Activity". It looks good. Getting a lot of hype. Has anyone seen it yet?



Now for all the people interested in making horror films (I have some cool horror concepts myself), look at this 1964 interview from one of the masters of it fright...Alfred Hitchcock. He's sharing some knowledge. A little film school for ya.

We also recently interviewed Director Rob Hardy of Rainforest Films. We conducted his interview at the "STOMP THE YARD 2" offices in Atlanta. Rob is a successful talented director that keeps the projects coming out. Shout out to his partner Will Packer. The two of them are doing their thing in the movie Biz. Positive Thinking

I'm excited about all the great footage we have so far for the documentary. But putting a doc together can be challenging. Sometimes it can be difficult to keep your eye on the big picture when different issues arise. Check out the following video with Will Smith. I happened to come across this on the Double 7 Film blog site. These positive words are spot on...and gave me a little push. And who better to say these things than Will Smith. You have to admit, the man has accomplished big things in different areas.

Whats up!! It's been a minute since I posted something. Anytime that happens just know I've been busy...the kid is working on the documentary! I'm finding out that it can be hard to keep all of your sites updated when you're in the middle of production on top of other things going on. I recently did the first interview shoot with Derek Blanks. We have a few more to do with him for the I AM A DREAM CHASER doc. I'll be posting some new info and pics about that shoot soon.

Music for Doc

The other night I met with Dee and IG to work on the theme song for the documentary. It was a late night. IG came up with a Crazy HOT track that has a futuristic movie feel to it. And Dee started writing the perfect lyrics that are really spot on with the concept of the film. Both of them are talented. I'm excited to hear the finished song. After a couple more sessions, it should be complete. Thats Whats UP!

I feel music really plays an important part in filmmaking. It enhances the visuals and helps create the ideal mood. The right music can elevate a scene to the next level. My first love was music...grew up playing the drums and DJing a little. So I have a real appreciation for music... and a pretty good ear too. Anybody that really knows me knows I'm all about the Arts

I think I come up with some of my most creative ideas at night. I can really vibe on things when it's late and it's just me and my thoughts. So... I'm up late doing the filmmaker thang...watching footage, mapping out this documentary and on the computer, when I come across this trailer for Chris Rock's new documentary "GOOD HAIR". It seems kind of funny and interesting. I've got little girls, so it made me stop and think for a second. Check it out

Doc is on point!

Another interesting day in the world of filmmaking. You never know what's going to happen. Yesterday, I was loading up materials for the shoot in my truck and about to leave the house when I saw a damn snake in the garage. A huge snake in the garage! I was already running behind but I had to stop and grab a shovel to EXECUTE the intruder. I've got kids so the snake had to go! It was time for battle... I won. Then when I arrived at the shoot, I realized one of our key crew members was missing. Maybe she had a snake in the garage too. But we had to go ahead and start. So no matter what challenges come your way in independent filmmaking, you have to remember the production must go on!

We've been getting some great footage for the documentary so far. Just wrapped up another successful shoot over at City of Ink. A couple more shoots with them and that portion of the film will be complete. The film is starting to come to life. It's funny how you have one idea for the project, but once you start shooting it takes it's on form. You have to just be flexible and see where the story takes you...while staying true to the initial topic. I can already see us making changes as the stories unfold and develop. It's the art of filmmaking. But it is turning into a very special project. We've got our hands on something HOT! It has great energy and has the potential to be powerful, inspiring and entertaining. We have some excellent people lined up to interview. LETS GO
